Due to a competing literary function, the Mid-Willamette Valley's premier literary event: THE MAGIC BARREL: A READING TO FIGHT HUNGER has been RESCHEDULED from Friday, October 9th, TO SATURDAY, October 24th at 6:30 p.m. (music); 7 p.m. (readings begin) at the Corvallis High School Theater in Corvallis.

Now in its 16th year, the Magic Barrel is an evening of live, local literature, music, and munchies, all served up in a local theater, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Linn-Benton Food Share. If you've never attended before, please consider coming out. (You could make a weekend out of it, taking in a lecture by environmental activist, eco feminist, and author Vandana Shiva the night before at OSU.)

More information about The Magic Barrel--including a list of this year's readers--is on the website: http://magicbarrel.org.
